Huchuy Qosqo, whose name comes from the Qechua language and means “small Cusco,” or “qaqyaqawana,” which means “place where lightning is seen,” was a military and administrative center during the Inca era. Is located in the Sacred valley of the Incas in the province of Calca.
This complex is thought to have been created under the Inca Wiracocha’s orders as a location to unwind and repose in his later years.
You will see the advances of the Incas in the build of terraces on the edges of precipices and ravines. Platforms that served as ceremonial centers and were fashioned of stone and adobe, materials with which they attained beautiful finishes, can be seen here.
This two-day trek will take you to the Inca era, together with our guide you will tour this place where you will discover many interesting facts about Inca life.
