Tour Details

Cachicata Trek is a one-day trek in Cusco that is off the beaten path. It leads to the world’s largest Inca quarry. This trail is rich in both history and natural beauty. It’s one of those paths that hasn’t gained much traction yet.

Ollantaytambo, a well-known town in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, served as the Incas’ administrative center. Pachacutec (Pachacuti), the Inca monarch, ordered the construction of numerous sites as this site, also Machu Picchu and Choquequirao.

Itinerary

Day 1Cusco - Cachicata - Cusco

We will pick you up from your Cusco hotel at 8:00 a.m. After that, we’ll board our private transportation to Ollantaytambo. The route will take you through the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

In Ollantaytambo, we will startthe trek crossing a tiny bridge. And continue the trek by following the Urubamba River’s course.

We’ll make a quick stop at the spot where the Quarry’s workers used to live. After that, we’ll go to the Quarry itself.

If you want to walk more , we will continue to see Inti Punku (Sungate). Thi site it provides a breathtaking perspective of Veronica’s snow-capped.

After this amazing moment, we will start descending back the same way. From Ollantaytambo we will be driving you back to Cusco. We will be reaching Cusco at around 0600 PM.
